The Department for Digital Transition of the Molise Region announces the launch in Molise of the national communication campaign “Punti Digitale Facile”, promoted by the Department for Digital Transformation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, in collaboration with the Italian Regions.
The goal is to provide concrete and accessible support for the use of digital services, increasingly central to daily life and the exercise of active citizenship, while safeguarding social inclusion and equal opportunities for every citizen.
Main Objectives of the Initiative
- reduce the digital divide, enabling all segments of the population to easily use digital public services;
- promote social inclusion, strengthening the ability of vulnerable citizens, the elderly, or those less familiar with technology to interact with digital tools;
- support access to digital as a citizenship right, improving the relationship between institutions and local communities.
Technical Methodologies and Operational Approaches
The campaign provides for the establishment, also in Molise, of a network of “Punti Digitale Facile”, physical spaces spread throughout the territory where citizens can receive:
- personalized assistance in the use of digital services (SPID, CIE, PagoPA, App IO, ANPR, etc.);
- practical training through guided sessions and informational materials;
- ongoing support from trained operators, using a one-to-one or group approach.
The methodology is based on a proximity model: bringing technology closer to people, using accessible places such as libraries, civic centers, municipal offices, and multifunctional spaces.
Key Challenges and Solutions Adopted
Main challenges identified:
- low level of digital literacy across large segments of the population;
- territorial divide between urban and rural/mountain areas;
- cultural resistance to the use of new technologies;
- need for multi-institutional coordination to ensure consistency of implementation.
Solutions adopted include:
- targeted training programs for the operators of the Punti Digitale centers;
- use of multilingual and multi-channel tools to reach as many citizens as possible;
- widespread and simplified communication campaigns;
- synergy between the Region, Municipalities, and the Department for Digital Transition.
Expected Impacts and Measurable Results
The activity will be monitored through key indicators such as:
- number of citizens involved in digital facilitation programs;
- increase in activations of online public services (SPID, CIE, pagoPA, etc.);
- reduction of the digital divide between age groups and territories;
- user satisfaction measured through evaluation questionnaires.
The aim is to ensure a lasting impact, resulting in greater digital autonomy for the Molise population and a wider use of digital public services.
Implications for the Territory
The launch of Punti Digitale Facile in Molise is not just a technical intervention but a political and social choice aimed at:
- promoting conscious digital citizenship;
- strengthening territorial cohesion, reducing gaps between rural and urban areas;
- contributing to a more inclusive, transparent, and efficient Public Administration;
- enhancing the role of the Molise Region as an active part of the national digital transformation process.
