At the twenty-eighth EU-Montenegro Accession Conference, negotiations were provisionally closed on Chapter 8 – Competition Policy and Chapter 29 – Customs Union. Montenegro has now opened all 33 negotiating chapters and continues to advance towards completing the accession negotiations through further legal and institutional alignment with the EU acquis.
